Referring to the letter from S[ecretar]y's Dept of the 15th inst.
I am directed by the Earl of Derby to transmit to you, for the examination of Earl Granville, a letter from Bishop Raimondi to Cardinal Manning on the subject of the Chinese in Hong Kong fugitives, whose extradition is now under the consideration of his Lordship.
This letter, which was left by the Cardinal for Lord Derby's consideration, is now sent in original, with the request for its return.
